About Dr. Meg IyerI am an educator and school psychologist with more than 20 years of experience supporting students, families, and schools. My career has included roles as a classroom teacher, school psychologist for over 15 years, graduate school professor, education researcher, and administrator working with programs that serve students from preschool through college.Throughout my career, I have helped families navigate evaluations, IEPs, 504 plans, and transition planning across every stage of a student’s educational journey. I understand how complex and overwhelming the special education process can feel for parents, especially when important decisions are being made about their child’s support and future.Through Your IEP Guide, I help families understand evaluation results, review IEPs and 504 plans, and prepare for school meetings so they can advocate confidently and effectively. My goal is to translate complex educational information into clear guidance and practical strategies so students receive the support they need to succeed in school and beyond.

• Evaluation Report Review
Explaining testing results and what they mean for eligibility, supports, and next steps.
• IEP Meeting Preparation
Helping parents prepare questions, priorities, and strategies before important school meetings.
• 504 Plan Guidance
Discussing appropriate accommodations and eligibility for students who may need support but do not qualify for an IEP.
• College Disability Support Planning
Helping students with IEPs or 504 plans prepare for disability services and accommodations in college.
My goal is to help families better understand the special education process so they can advocate effectively and ensure their child receives the support they need to succeed.Click the "Book a Consultation" button at the top of this page for a free 15 minute call to see if my services align with your needs or to book my services directly!
